Gor Mahia kept their title hopes alive after securing a 2-1 comeback victory against Tusker FC at the Nyayo National Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Tusker drew first blood in the 17th minute when Eric Mmata slotted home a brilliant strike past Gor’s goalkeeper Kevin Omondi. However, the defending champions responded swiftly, with Benson Omala equalizing just before halftime after a quick counterattack orchestrated by Austin Odhiambo.
The winning goal came in the 78th minute, courtesy of substitute John Macharia, whose powerful header sealed the crucial three points for K’Ogalo.
